LOMA Performance is not shy in comparing its latest tuned Corvette to the toughest military hardware and even goes as far as naming the colour schemes on offer after scary jet planes. Customers for the limited run of 25 C6.BlackforceOne models can choose between Stealth matt black, Eurofighter matt grey and White Storm matt white. Just in case you didn't pick up on the themes, matt colours and military firepower are the inspirations behind this tuned 'Vette.
It's certainly not all mouth and no trousers, as LOMA has taken the standard C6 Corvette's 6.2-litre V8 and fitted a pair of turbochargers and sports exhaust. This boosts power from the original's 431bhp to a much brawnier 783bhp. To cope with this, there's a sports clutch, carbon fibre drive shaft and a new set of gear cogs, which help deliver 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds.
Keep your foot to the floor and the BlackforceOne will top out at a claimed 207mph. However, the company says this top speed has deliberately been kept down to help with in-gear acceleration at lower speeds.
To cope with the extra power and performance, the LOMA Corvette has massive 275/30 R19 front tyres and super-size 335/25 R20 rubber at the back. The tyres cover OZ alloy wheels finished in shiny black, while peeking from behind the rims are carbon ceramic brakes. Even with the larger wheels and tyres, LOMA says the front axles is 15.5kg lighter than a Corvette Z06's and the rear saves a further 10kg.
Just to make sure any passers-by are not in any doubt about the BlackforceOne's intentions, LOMA has fitted a wide body kit that extends the car's width by 20cm. The broader wings, rear diffuser, side skirts and front spoiler are all made from carbon fibre, and there's the option of a carbon fibre rear spoiler.
All 25 of the C6.BlackforceOne models come with a year's warranty and prices start at the equivalent of £173,000.
